Proposed Book on Immigration and the Small City: Canadian
Experiences and Perspectives
Edited by:
Glenda Tibe Bonifacio
(University of Lethbridge)
and Julie Drolet
(Thompson Rivers University)
A proposal is being
prepared to develop an edited book on immigration in the small city. The
book is intended to fill the gap on information related to this topic
from a Canadian perspective. Other books focus on immigration
experiences in large metropolitan areas such as Toronto, Montreal and
Vancouver. The proposed book will add to this literature while providing
specific information about the immigration realities in the context of
the small city in Canada.
The book aims to illustrate
regional perspectives of the nature and role of small city immigration;
demonstrate an inter-disciplinary focus on immigration in the small
city; and share knowledge about the immigration realities in the
Canadian context.
We are currently
seeking abstracts for proposed chapters on any topic related to small
city immigration in Canada including but not limited to the following:
·

·
